Hello Flower Friend!
I connect people to the nature available in their own backyards.
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
I learned plants and designed gardens early on- working in my family plant nursery.
Later, I combined my love of design, nature and communication with a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida.
EUROPEAN INFLUENCE
I sketched outdoor spaces in Europe in college. Since then, my leather sketch book has morphed into an iPad, but my travels still inspire my work today.
WORK
Early on I worked on projects in golf course design, residential design and got a dab of urban design. . These were all interesting, but didn’t grab my heart.
PERSONAL GARDEN
I began experimenting with Native, Wildlife and Florida Friendly Plants in my personal garden and the bird and pollinator populations exploded. The water use went down by 30%. Here’s the kicker, my satisfaction levels skyrocketed. My mental health and well-being went way up!
Wildlife Friendly plants brought my landscape to life.
Now I share about Wildlife Friendly Plants with my design clients,
in Nurture Nature™️ Workshops and in front of audiences.
